As an experienced Cyber Security Professional, currently working at the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District as a IT Specialist II – Security Analyst, I bring a wealth of expertise in cybersecurity. My role involves managing various aspects of security, including:

  1. Vulnerability Management: Utilizing tools such as Qualys, OpenVAS, and Nessus, I conduct vulnerability assessments and lead meetings with different groups and departments within the organization.
  2. Incident Response: Swift and effective response to security incidents, ensuring minimal impact and rapid resolution.
  3. Endpoint Protection and Scanning: Implementing measures to safeguard endpoints and conducting regular scanning for potential threats.
  4. DNS/Web Filter: Managing and configuring DNS and web filters to enhance security controls.
  5. Intrusion Detection/Prevention: Deploying and maintaining systems to detect and prevent unauthorized intrusions.
  6. Firewall Management: Creating firewall rules and policies to fortify the network infrastructure.
  7. Risk Management and Mitigation: Identifying and mitigating potential security risks to protect the organization’s assets.
  8. NIST Framework: Implementing and adhering to the NIST framework in the security environment.
  9. Security Awareness: Conducting Security Awareness Training, including phishing tests and education for end users.
  10. Project Management: Leading multiple security initiatives, such as implementing password managers and new email/spam filters.
